This festival is one of the grandest celebrations of flowers in the world, drawing thousands of people to Boquete for 10 days. It is held from January 10 to 20th, but the opening will star tomorrow January 8th with the presence of Martin Torrijos, President of the Republic.
This fair is planned in particular with 9 months in advance, since the quality of their crops and flowers require love and care. The visit of the thousands of visitors can meet the financial commitments, creating a mechanism to generate self employment in agriculture and tourism.
In this fair we can enjoy a delightful walk through beautiful landscapes in an excellent climate, a good cup of coffee from hundreds of varieties of the region and beautiful handicrafts from different regions of Panama, such as pots, hammocks, balconies, vases, jewelry made of organic materials, hats , designs made in fish scales, artwork, sculptures, etc.
For those who like partying, The Boquete Fair has several bars and outdoor lounge bars, where a good glass of wine and drinks beside the relaxing “Caldera” River let you enjoy the ambient while holding a nice Clubbing style.
Also many Real Estate developers and Companies will be there with informative stands in order to assist you in any possible way if you wish to buy, sell any property, land or project.
Eco-tourism is big around these parts as well; river rafting, camping, hiking and more can be practiced in Boquete either by you or with trained professionals.
As it is with other towns of the interior, Boquete’s residents are very friendly towards tourists and will lend a helping hand if need be. You’ll see that once you visit Boquete you will most likely want to stay there!
See you this weekend at Boquete…
