Start a Panama Business for under $10,000 Living it Up So here you are…in Paradise…in your dream home. Two years ago you had no idea that today you would be here, in Panama. You had never even heard of Panama, except for the Canal, Noriega operation “Just Cause” , Roberto Duran, Ruben Blades or perhaps Mariano Rivera, if you are a Yankees fan. Buy a Harley Davidson and ride into the sunset. Buy a super-bike and ride with the lunatics on Sundays. But what Next? Once you are “played out”, and who would have thought it possible tired of relaxing and living your new, active, 24/7 vacation routine; perhaps you will begin hearing a voice in your head continuously saying, “There are so many business opportunities in this country.” This is not from the numerous bottles of wine you are consuming....there are real and incredible opportunities in Panama. That old American ideal, framed by Hollywood, of retiring in Mexico and opening a scuba shop, bait shop or a jet ski rental operation may just apply in Panama. Some law firms offer pre-packaged, turnkey companies with legal names, commercial license and everything set up to start running. This costs around $2,000 in legal fees, depending on the firm. This does not include registering trademarks, brands, logos, or license requirements. You can budget $5,000 for all legal fees, company name, logo, stationary, business cards, and basic set-up on paper of a new Panamanian company. Budget another $5,000 in computers and the furnishing of a small or home office. You can start a new business for under $10,000; depending on the scope and ambition of your business venture. Whatever your business concept: tourism related, tutoring, translations, copy writing, graphic design, consulting, computer tech support, import-export, nursing home and related services , event planner, landscaping, project management consulting, residential developer, rental store, golf pro, golf development consultant, construction company, outsourcing of services, marketing firm, advertising firm, restaurateur, financial advisor, home repair minute man or woman! , locksmith, natural conservationist, non-profit organization to benefit poverty, hunger, the environment...The options are simply too many to list. Whatever your business venture, in Panama you can begin to fully live your dream.
